Whether you’re arriving from Schiphol Airport or coming by car, here’s how to reach your floating stay smoothly.
From Schiphol Airport (for international guests)
1. Uber / Taxi (approx. 25–35 minutes)
• Order an Uber or taxi from the arrival hall.
• Cost: €35–€50 depending on time and traffic.
• Destination: [Your boat’s street address].
2. Train (approx. 20 minutes total)
• Take the train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station (±17 minutes).
• Trains leave every 10–15 minutes.
• From there, walk or take a short Uber/taxi to the houseboat (±5 minutes walk or ride).
3. Bus (budget option, ±40 minutes)
• Take Bus 397 (direction: Elandsgracht) from Schiphol Plaza.
• Get off at Elandsgracht or Leidseplein.
• Then take tram 13 or 17 to Amsterdam Central or walk to the boat (±10–15 minutes).
• Note: This option is slower and involves a bit more walking.
For guests arriving by car (local or international)
Please note: Street parking is €7.50 per hour, 24/7 – including at night and on Sundays.
Amsterdam has very strict parking enforcement and fines are high.

Anything else you should know?
• Check-in is from 3:00 PM, but feel free to drop your luggage earlier if arranged in advance.
• Public transport in Amsterdam is easy and efficient – you can get almost anywhere by tram, bus or bike.
• If you’re traveling light, walking from Amsterdam Central Station is a lovely 10–15 minute stroll through the city.
